Here’s how I’m bringing the spa home

Even if you’re a relative beauty newbie, you’ve probably seen sheet masks popping up in the skincare aisles. I consider myself a sheet fanatic. They’re a little terrifying to look at (I warn friends/roommates and partners before I pop out of the bathroom with one on) but they’re a fantastic way to deliver a concentrated hit of skincare.

Hugely popular in Korea where they originated, sheet masks have also found a major following here in Canada. And now the cloth wonders are moving past being just another fleeting facial fad.

Lancôme’s new Genifique Youth Activating Second Skin Mask takes a more grown up approach to the sheet mask by delivering a mega-hit of the line’s youth activating serum. In 20 minutes of zen you can take anti-aging to the next level with a mask that makes staying young seem kind of fun. I love the texture of this mask, the weight and feel make for a less slimy experience than usual. For another unique take on the sheet trend, I’m obsessed with Look Beauty’s FeetTreat pedi mask. An exfoliating treatment that uses the same technology to smooth calluses, it’s is a great evolution of sheet beauty. Plus it forces me to stay off my feet for 30 minutes, which is always a good thing.
