My No-Heat Road Trip Hairstyle

I often take impromptu road trips to Montreal to see my boyfriend’s parents. I find it hard to do anything but sleep during the five-hour travel time, which means my hair is usually a mess by the time we arrive. But this weekend I discovered an easy way to use that time on the road to get my hair looking on point for my arrival (and BTW it’s super easy and doesn’t involve any heat damage).

Step 1:
Before I left for my fun but long road trip I popped in the shower and towel dried my hair. For extra silky strands I applied Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum through from root to tip.

Step 2:
I’m not as good with braids as the average girl is so I opted for a twist, literally.
Part your hair into two sections (like pigtails). For each section, start at the top of your hair and split it into two, twist the strands over each other until all your hair is twisted.

Step 3:
End off each twist with a bun and let it dry. While in the car I felt like a ’90s Britney Spears with my pigtail buns but in the end it was worth it!

Step 4:
Take out your buns and 560 kilometers later you have beautiful, selfie ready waves. Pump it up with some mousse like Tresemmé 24 Hour Body with Collagen and you’re ready to hit the town.
