Find Your Inner Angel with this Victoria’s Secret Makeup Tutorial

Every year I look forward to watching the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and every year I come up with a new beauty resolution afterwards. When I was younger I dreamed of being the next Adriana Lima, but now I dream about being the best version of myself. I have come to learn that no one is perfect and beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. The Victoria’s Secret fashion show reminds me to celebrate my natural beauty, and that some days, less is more.

Tom Pecheux was the lead makeup artist at this year’s show. His look included “natural glamour.” What is natural glamour, you ask? Youthful skin, a simple winged liner and nothing over the top!

The products I used included:

  • Benefit Sugarbomb Blush
  • NYX Contour Palette
  • NYX Brow Gel
  • NYX Micro Brow Pencil
  • Joe Fresh Shadow Trio
  • Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick and Thin Liner
  • La Roche Posay Respectissime Mascara
  • Clarins Natural Lip Perfector 04

Follow these simple steps to create instant glamour:

Step 1: I decided to go with a natural-looking blush to give my cheeks a flush of colour. Sugarbomb by Benefit, a mix of four sheer colours with a hint of radiance, is perfect for this look. It gives the cheeks a flushed, healthy look.

Step 2: I then used the NYX contour palette to highlight my face. I chose the lightest highlight shade to achieve this glow. The VS models always have the most perfect, radiant skin, and using highlighter is key. Focus it on the top of your cheekbones, on your cupid’s bow and down the bridge of your nose.

Step 3: The brows were kept very natural during the show. I used NYX brow gel to give a hint of colour and keep them in place. I then went in with the NYX micro pencil to fill in any sparse areas.

The brow trend right now is the bigger the better, so don’t overpluck!

Step 4: I wanted to keep the shadow minimal and natural. I used the Joe Fresh eyeshadow trio, blending the taupe colour (shade 1) all over the bottom of my lid and shade 3 in the crease. The shadow only took a few minutes to blend and should look very natural.

Step 5: This year the angels were given a winged liner. I used Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick and Thin liner to create a small wing. This is not a dramatic wing, so keep the flick small. I then went in with La Roche Posay Respectissime mascara to add volume and length to my lashes. Don’t forget about the bottom lashes!

Step 6: I wanted to keep the lips as natural as possible. I used Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector. Shade 04 was very close to my natural lip colour and gave the perfect amount of shine. This product is one of my favourites because not only does it look beautiful but it also hydrates your lips and tastes like candy!

Bring out your inner angel this holiday season and remember, sometimes less is more!
