How I Get the No-Makeup Makeup Look

As much as I love getting dolled up and rocking a smoky eye or a dramatic lip, there are days when I want to keep things simple. Lately, I have been feeling a more natural look, and with spring around the corner I have lightened up my routine and created the perfect no-makeup makeup look.

It requires a little more effort than going bare, but it’s totally worth it to show off your natural beauty—not that you need makeup to do that!

To get started, I massage a small amount of Photo Finish Hydrating Primer from Smashbox onto my face and neck. This step is important for a smoother finish, longer wear and to keep my skin hydrated, especially in the colder months.

I then give my skin a treat with Pür 4-in-1 Tinted Moisturizer. Its light texture makes it feel like I’m hardly wearing any makeup. It offers just enough coverage for an even complexion but lets my freckles peek through. I lighten my under-eye area and conceal blemishes with Smashbox Studio Skin concealer.

For a natural glow, I blend the Havana Matte bronzer from Lise Watier onto the areas of my face where the sun would naturally hit. I then sweep blush along my cheekbones in the shade Playful from the Stila Palette Perfect Hue, Perfect Me in Light/Fair.

I wasn’t finished playing around with that stunning palette just yet! For my eyes, I applied the shade Alluring as a base and then brushed Passionate onto my lid area. To highlight my brow, I swept Breathtaking onto my brow bone and blended downwards.

To finish my eyes, I applied Maybelline Rocket Express Volume mascara in Brownish Black and Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel to shape my brows.

Last but not least, I puckered up with a natural lip shade. I’m loving the look of the shade Neutre or Clara by Lise Watier.

And there you have it. I swear I woke up like this!
