For on-the-go days I’m not the type of girl that’s about a full face of makeup. Sometimes I just like to keep it natural, quick and easy—some coverage, some colour and a little pop on the eyes. For days like that, I’ve managed to cut my product list down to four (instead of my usual eight). The best part is that they all conveniently fit into even my smallest purse, so I can bring them with me wherever I go.
Avène’s Tinted Compact has been a lifesaver for my sensitive skin. The foundation is soft and creamy with a matte finish that gives me the coverage I need (even on the most stubborn blemishes). But I also feel like I’m giving my skin some love when I apply it because it has vitamin E, and 100% mineral sunscreen with an SPF 50. My mom constantly hails sunscreen as the ultimate skin saver (can’t blame her—she’s right). So, she would be proud.
For busy days, I’m all about two-in-ones that make life easier. I use Stila Açai Crush Lip and Cheek Stain to help give me a bright, flushed, pretend-I-just-had-a-beach-day complexion. I add a couple of dabs to the apples of my cheeks and blend it in using round circular motions to perk up my skin. Then I dab some onto my top and bottom lips and buff it in.
To give my brows a lift, Rodial Glamobrow brush is my go-to. The spoolie grooms my hairs upwards to give them shape and definition, then I use the pencil, flicking it upwards using feathery motions along my arch until I reach the end of my brows. For my lashes, I’ve been so dedicated to CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom mascara because it makes things easy. It gives my lashes volume and is easily buildable—no clumps, no flakes.
This primping routine gets the job done in less than five minutes, but then I have everything handy for touch-ups for whatever my day (or night) throws at me.
