New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, and while most people are thinking about making resolutions, all I can think about is what makeup I will be wearing. After a lot of thought (and a few trial runs), I’ve finally decided on a look.
For the Face
Starting with the Lise Watier Portfolio, I apply Lilac around any darker areas and blend with my Smashbox concealer. My liquid foundation from Elizabeth Arden in Alabaster comes next, and to set the liquid, I apply the Everlasting Compact Foundation in nude by Clarins.
For the Eyes
The Revlon Photoready Eye Art Cream Shadow in Topaz Twinkle all over my lid is a stunning metallic look. I blend shade one of the Rose Nude L’Oréal eyeshadow palette into my crease and shade three onto my outer eye and bottom lash line for a bit more drama.
Lise Watier is the best for my brows! I comb the Double Perfection Eyebrow Duo through my brows. One side shapes and thickens and the other highlights under my brow line.
I line my upper lash line with the Quo Art of Lining liquid liner. With New Year’s being the perfect excuse (not that you need one) to overdo the glitter I thought it was fitting to apply the Revlon glitter above my black liner and just underneath my brow line.
For my eyelashes, the L’Oréal Voluminous Superstar mascara and the Quo Half Lash Flirty lashes make a great team, and the Lise Watier Rose Velours applied to my waterline and inner eye brightens things up.
Back to the Face
The Hoola Matte bronzer by Benefit gives the illusion that I’ve hit the beach recently (I wish). I brush it on the areas of my face where the sun would naturally touch.
Now for the fun part: shimmer from the NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette. A hint of champagne (yes please) on my upper cheekbones, cupid’s bow and brow line followed by Golden Pink in place of a blush.
For the Lips
First things first, No Bleeding Lips lines my outer lip line to prevent smudging. I’m going a little darker this year with the Stila Bordeaux Matte lipstick and I know it’s going to last me all night—it might even survive my New Year’s kiss!
And voila, The countdown to New Year’s is on!
