My Quick and Easy Holiday Makeup Tutorial

When I think about December, I think about winged liner, glitter and red lips. So I decided to create a festive makeup look for the holidays. This is an easy look to achieve, and it won’t take you all night to complete.

Here’s what I used to create this look:

  • Stila Perfect Hue Palette in Medium/Tan
  • Vasanti Kajal Waterline Eyeliner in Intense Black
  • Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Shadow in Dusty Rose
  • Lancôme Grandiose Liner in Black
  • Lancôme Grandiose Extreme Mascara in Black
  • Quo Lashes in 803
  • L’Oréal Paris Lip Liner in Red
  • Joe Fresh Mat Lipstick in Ruby
  • Know Cosmetics My Lips Are Sealed Top Coat

Step One:
Using the Stila Perfect Hue Palette in Medium/Tan, I took the lightest shade on a fluffy brush and blended it under my eyebrow to create a highlight. Then I used a crease blending brush to buff the matte blush shade into my crease. This helped create a seamless transition between the colours. Then I took the matte plum shade and concentrated it on the outer half of my lids to create a smoky look. I used the lightest shimmer shade on the inner corners of my lids to make them pop.

Step Two:
I tight lined my waterline with the Vasanti Kajal liner in intense black. This helps blend everything together when applying false lashes. I then smudged out the kajal liner by taking the plum and blush shades underneath my lash line.

Step Three:
I used the Stila Magnificent Metals foiled shadow in dusty rose as a glitter liner. I suggest using the Essence liner brush for this. It is super affordable and provides precise application. I put some of the foiled shadow on my hand and sprayed Vichy Thermal Water on it to make it wet. Using the Essence liner brush, I created a glitter winged liner.

Step Four:
Next, I needed to mimic the same shape in black liner that I had created with the glitter liner. For this I used Lancôme Grandiose Liner. Make sure to keep this liner very close to the lash line and only go halfway over the glitter liner.

Step Five:
I applied a generous coat of mascara, using the Lancôme Grandiose Extreme Mascara for instant drama. Overtop I used the Quo lashes in #803 to create major glamour.

Step Six:
I then applied the L’Oréal lip liner in red all over my lips. I like to colour my whole lip in with the liner because it makes the lipstick last longer. For my lipstick I decided to use a mat shade from Joe Fresh called Ruby. To seal it all together, I applied My Lips Are Sealed. This topcoat keeps lipstick from bleeding and helps it last throughout the night!
