Fall beauty for me means two things: making sure my skincare routine keeps up with the transitional weather and makeup that makes me look awake as the days get shorter and I get more tired. Thankfully, these five new launches are at the top of my list for helping me do both.
Clarins Energy Booster
One of a trio of boosters, they’re like juice shots, made up of concentrated plant-based ingredients that target specific concerns like dull, tired or inflamed skin. All you do is add a drop or two to your moisturizer. My go-to lately has been the Energy booster, which uses ginseng to help wake up tired-looking skin.
Biotherm Blue Therapy Cream-in-Oil
When the Blue Therapy Serum-in-Oil first launched a few years ago, I was obsessed. Now in moisturizer form, it’s a richer, more luxurious version of the original with the same benefits. Now all I ask for is a hand cream.
Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush Lips & Cheeks in 18
I have a soft spot for YSL lipsticks (Tint-in-Oil, Oil-in-Stick). This one’s for lips and cheeks. The colour has that perfect bright stain-y sort of pink that’s so big in K-Beauty and the texture makes it really easy to smooth and blend into cheeks.
Nip + Fab Hydrate Dragon’s Blood Fix Hyaluronic Shot
Despite the Kardashian-backed Vampire facial-esque name (Dragon’s Blood), this one is a non-invasive injection of skin-plumping hyaluronic acid. You add two drops into your regular serum or day cream for an extra boost of hydration.
Essence Forbidden Volume Mascara
I wasn’t blessed with long, Bambi-like lashes so I’m always looking for a good mascara. I test-drive a lot, but most of them have a short lifespan. If I don’t love them immediately, chances are, I won’t use them again. The last true love was Benefit’s Roller Lash. So you know I’m being honest when I say I loved Essence’s new Forbidden Volume Mascara. Even though I prefer lengthening mascaras, this one gives length and volume and doesn’t droop post-application.
