I’ve tried dozens of products over the years to alleviate my squinty undereye puffiness and the dark circles that form as soon as I’m tired. Through some trial and error (and a reaction or two), I’ve found a few solutions for every occasion that really work, and I’ve pulled together three of my faves. Check them out below!
I first came across Indeed Labs Eysilix Total Eye Repair back in August when I was in desperate need of a miracle on the go. It was a risky move, but a rewarding one; this little tube gives results. The cream uses botanical extracts and peptides that instantly lift, smooth puffiness and diminish dark circles. Within minutes I felt refreshed, and I looked like I’d just woken up from a much-needed nap. Do apply sparingly, as all you need are a few dabs!
Shiseido doesn’t disappoint with their Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Masks. These light, yet super moist and rich contour pads fit perfectly under my eyes and began soothing and smoothing my skin immediately. They reduced puffiness, dark circles and corner creases in minutes. I love to use these when I’m traveling as they are prepackaged in single sachets, and I can stick a few in my bag without adding much weight to it. Plus, since they’re dermatologist- and ophthalmologist-tested, I feel safe knowing both my skin and eyes are in good hands.
When I have a little extra time on my hands and I’m prepping for a full face of makeup for a night out or special occasion, I like to use Lise Watier’s Ultra Firming Rejuvenating Eye Creme. This creamy formula firms and dramatically lifts my upper lids and undereye areas, smooths puffiness and reduces the appearance of my dark circles. As an added bonus, it also contains properties that provide a filling effect, it brightens and hydrates, prepping my eyes so they’re ready for makeup.
