Luckily, my job as Glow’s creative director takes me around the world producing wicked photo shoots in some pretty cool places…this also keeps my wanderlust satiated. Flushed with Air Miles, I became determined to get off my next long-haul flight looking better than when I boarded. Here’s what I did: First off, I’m kind of picky about which airline I fly with. Turkish Airlines has quickly become a favourite. Their service is bang-on and they fly pretty much everywhere. Here’s a little tip: drop a few extra bills and fly “comfort class.” I love their extra wide seats with tons of legroom and delish food. Trust me, this makes all the difference and allows you to actually arrive feeling rested. Upgrade to business class if you really want to live large. You’ll see why Turkish Airlines has been voted Europe’s best airline. It’s no shocker that flying wreaks havoc on your skin. The key is to stay hydrated. Free cocktails are fun, but don’t forget to drink as much water as possible. Soon after the seat belt sign is turned off, I reach for my thermal mist spray. I spritz at will throughout the flight to keep my face feeling fresh. After dinner I hit up the lavatory and give my face a wash with a cleansing cloth, then I apply a hydrating face oil…I love something with a light, soothing scent. As I settle back into my seat I sneak on an eye mask underneath my sleeping mask…no puffy eyes for me. Right before landing I slap on some hand cream, lip balm and one last spritz of thermal water—now I’m runway ready!
