I’d like to think that I’m not the only person who has multiple photo editing apps on their phone. In fact, I think most bloggers often depend on filters to give their photos that desired artsy feel (this blogger does, that’s for sure). Filters are great for giving selfies that airbrushed complexion, even if you’ve skipped a facial or two. My biggest beauty problem this winter is my annoying dry skin. Even with double applications of moisturizers and serums, my makeup sucks up all the hydration from my face, making me look cakey. Lately, my dull looking skin has been desperate for some extra help. What I need are makeup products that offer coverage, hydration, and a healthy glowing finish.
Luckily for me, those products weren’t too hard to scope out. I’ve been using Joe Fresh makeup and it’s surprisingly made such a huge difference. There was no need to fake the dewiness or wait until the warm weather. They’re packed with antioxidants that put moisture back into my face. Not only are the products hydrating, but it’s almost impossible to tell I’m wearing any makeup at all. No filter needed here.
Here’s how I’ve been keeping my skin dewy-looking:
After moisturizing, I use a tiny pump of the Joe Fresh Illuminating Primer and apply it evenly all over my face. I like to use another tiny pump of the primer and mix it in with the Joe Fresh Fluid Foundation for an extra dose of dewy. Using a damp blending sponge, I press the mixture evenly all over my face and neck.
Afterwards, I like to apply the Joe Fresh Long Wear Spot Concealer under my eyes and wherever there’s redness. It’s thicker in texture than the other concealers I wear, I like to dab it on using my finger. Once I have my base set, I like to move on to highlighting.
I’ve always used powder highlighters, but after using the Joe Fresh Highlighter Stick, it’s almost impossible to think of ever going back. The cream-based highlighter glides on smoothly and makes my skin look dewy. I like to apply it above my cheekbones, brow bone and on the bridge of my nose.
Like the highlighter, I’ve never used a cream-based blush before either. I’m still not used to it but it really helps my skin look plump. I smile to highlight the apples of my cheeks and apply the Joe Fresh Blush Stick in Peach Dream with a blending sponge. Check out my latest selfies to see the difference.
